The Birkenhead School shooting team is flourishing after only 2 years of competition shooting, using both the L98A1 Cadet General Purpose Rifle and the L81A2 Cadet Target Rifle.The team shot extremely well at Bisley this year, with a special congratulations to L/Cpl Walsby-Tickle on being awarded 'Best Shot Bisley 2007'

The Cadet GP Rifle is a 5.56mm rifle, shot accurately at distances from 25 to 300yards.

The Cadet Target Rifle is a much more accurate 7.62mm sniper rifle that is shot at distances up to 1000 yards; typically at 300, 500 and 600 yards.
